I take this opportunity to greet you all and invite you to the Midterm meeting of Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgeons of India (SMICTSI). This meeting is organized in the sprawling and nature rich campus of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow on 11th and 12th January 2025. This time of year is very pleasant in Lucknow and light warm clothing would suffice. The midterm meeting is planned each year apart from the annual meeting of the society for the purpose of transfer of new ideas approaches and technologies to the surgeons performing these surgeries.
The meeting attract trainees and acclaimed surgeons equally for its rich and practical contents along with opinions of senior colleagues in other form of open discussions. I hope you will find out some space in your schedule to contribute to the meeting and enrich its content.

I welcome you all to be a part the midterm meeting of SMICTSI 2025. The meeting is planned for 11 th and 12 th January 2025. The purpose of midterm meeting of the society is to discuss more practical aspects of approaches to the minimally invasive procedures. The outcome of meeting is to transfer the new ideas and technology to make these complex procedures more organized to perform. The meeting is designed with special focus on trainee surgeons. The organizing committee is offering free of cost stay in institute facility from 10 th to 12 th January 2025 to 20 trainees. There will be a dedicated training session at the start and after the conference of MICS procedures. The meeting will host acclaimed surgeons delivering lectures to make procedures simple and doable. The intent of these lectures would be to transfer practical knowledge to the audience. There would be panel discussions on each procedures and aspects of MICS. These discussions will be moderated by an experienced surgeon with outcome directed at the completeness of discussion on every procedure. Each panel discussion will end with an open mic session for active involvement of participant in contributing to enrich the discussion. This meeting is planned to be outcome oriented with take home message for participants for each complex procedure.

These cities, rich in history and spirituality, make for compelling visits near Lucknow.
